Just so you know: they knew

Via Atrios (should I start calling him Duncan?):

David Sirota and Christy Harvey do some deep investigative reporting. They actually read all the stuff already out there, instead of just parroting the Bush-administrations claim that the intelligence was faulty but Bush and Cheney did not know this.

This confirms what you probably (hopefully) already suspected: Bush and Cheney are full of shit.

To give you an impression, here are the headlines of the different paragraphs:

They knew Iraq posed no nuclear threat
They knew the aluminum tubes were not for nuclear weapons
They knew there was no hard evidence of chemical or biological weapons
They knew Saddam and bin Laden were not collaborating
They knew there was no Prague meeting
Conclusion: They knew they were misleading America

So if you happen to meet that mythical figure, a republican open for fair argument, logic and reason, then you know where to find the good stuff.
